OFFER FOR PREPARATORY YEAR 2009-2010
Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi Institute for Romanians from Abroad, public institution with legal personality, subordinated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offers for the academic year 2009-2010 a total of 300 places for:
-young ethnic Romanians from neighboring countries and Balkans
-young people from Romania with stable domicile abroad
In the Methodology Admission, Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi Institute for Romanians from Abroad can be found at number 14 in Annex 3.
According to Methodology of Training the citizens of Romanian ethnic origin from Moldova, Albania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine and Hungary and Romanian citizens with residence abroad which want to study in Romanian State education system (school year or universitary 2009 - 2010), are offered places as follow: with scholarship/with no scholarship and without tuition.
I.TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS:
-Scholarship (equivalent of 65 in lei, Romanian State currency)
-Without scholarship and without tuition (the student does not receives a scholarship consisting in 65 , but he/she does not pay school fee)

Academic year begins on 01 October and is completed after 28 weeks, the equivalent of an academic year.
During the Preparatory Year ethnic Romanians become familiar with the specifics of Romanian language terminology in order to achieve a level of language proficiency similar with Romanians students before entering university.
A semester is completed with exams for each field of study.
Exam sessions:
- Semester I Exams session
- Semester II Exams session
- Semester I Session arrears
- Semester II Session arrears
- Semester I and II Session arrears
- Session of Final Exams
At the end of a Preparatory Year, students receive a diploma and a record sheet. Graduation diploma - Romanian Language proficiency - is required in State Universities of Romania.
Our teachers are the best in the field and, through them, EHI offers quality education. You can always talk to your trainer (teacher) about how you would like the courses to be so that YOU can become a proficient speaker of Romanian.
We have trained trainers who teach Romanian for foreigners in other institutions.

*Our dorms are valued by those who benefit from school camps, by their teachers and by organizations of ethnic Romanians from abroad.
The Institute has a campus of 3.6 hectares and a beautiful park well maintained.
The institution has a contract with a physician which is available to students.
Our living arrangements, as well as our dining and recreational facilities, are designed not just for individual comfort, but also to encourage vibrant interaction among participants.
V.PARTNERSHIPS
EHI has partnerships with major universities and prestigious institutions in Romania.
Also, based on partnership with Pro Europe Training Center (www.eutrainings.eu), EHI gives for the students of the Preparatory Year, a series of free courses** such as:
European Union Bases
Project Manager
Europe - geographical and cultural space
Identity or feeling of belonging to a community
Treaties and European citizenship
Impact of European daily life
Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union
Fundamental rights, etc.
**These courses are optional. Upon completion of each module, students are offered a graduation diploma.
We have more than 10 years of experience in teaching Romanian to young people from everywhere in the world.
More than 2000 young people from everywhere in the world have studied Romanian language and literature, Romanian culture and civilization, history, geography, anatomy, chemistry, law, economics, etc and subsequently became students of state universities all over the country on the basis of a scholarship program of the Romanian state.
